Slim DIN rail power supply
March 2011
Electrical Power & Protection
Mean Well has introduced a new 240 W slim DIN rail power supply with wide input range for both single and three phase power systems – the WDR-240 series completes its WDR product range. Equipped with 180 to 550 VAC input range, the supply can be used in a general power system with single phase 230 VAC input, or can capture any two phases from a 330-550 V three-phase power system for increased flexibility of deployment.
With up-to-date high efficiency circuit design, the WDR-240 possess up to 91% efficiency and can provide 240 W continuously up to 50°C using only free air convection, or operate up to 70°C ambient with suitable power de-rating. The slim design (63 mm in width) helps save space on the rail and in addition, it is equipped with low temperature power-on ability down to -30°C. Other standard functions include Output OK relay contact alarm, front panel LED indicator, front panel DC voltage adjustment and protections for short-circuit, overload, over-voltage, and over-temperature. The WDR-240 series complies with UL/CB/CE certificates and also meets the EMC requirements of heavy industry immunity level (EN61000-6-2). Suitable applications include industrial control systems, semiconductor fabrication equipment, factory automation, electro-mechanical applications, and marine related installations.
