Within the well known Wenglor range of colour detection sensors is a series of print mark detectors designed to recognise prints, stamps and labels of all kinds, using a focussed spot of white LED light. Only one sensor is required for the recognition of all colour combinations, as well as the difference in brightness between printed markings and the background.
Models WP02 and WP04 are distinguished by high geometric and contrast resolution and feature adjustment of the spot, high frequency and a white light diode with long service life. The switching threshold can be adjusted via a key potentiometer.
Model WM03 sensors are capable of differentiating up to 100 fine grey tone variations within a scale of black to white. In addition, this series is equipped with a delay function to enable time delayed activation of the output.
The various Teach-In modes available – dynamic, two point and window – allow for optimised sensor adjustment in any application. All settings can be selected and values retrieved via the RS232 interface.
