Westplex’s Cognex Checker 4G series.
The new Cognex Checker 4G series sensor is a flexible all-in-one solution offering reliable part detection and inspection at low cost. It is capable of locating the object to be inspected, inspecting dimensions and part features, presence/absence of parts and simultaneous multiple inspections at speeds up to 6000 parts per minute.
Like all Checker vision sensors, the 4G series integrates lighting, optics, camera, processor and I/O in an industrial IP67 housing small enough to fit into tight spaces. The new 4G series offers the same powerful and easy to use setup Checker is known for, plus Ethernet networking for remote setup and monitoring, PLC communication through EtherNet/IP and Profinet and the ability to save images of every inspection to an FTP server.
Checker sensors have the following features:
* Cognex patented part detection technology eliminates the need for an additional sensor to determine if the part is present.
* Can inspect multiple part features simultaneously with a single Checker yielding simple pass/fail results.
* Overcomes varying part positions which eliminates for finding and inspecting the part.
* Has one-click setup – even first-time users can have it up and running in minutes.
* Presence sensors verify that features are present.
* Measurement sensors verify that features are the correct height, width or diameter.
The Checker 4G models also provide additional flexibility through a number of unique additional innovations:
* Industry standard ladder logic editor allows for customisation of results and eliminates PLC programming.
* EtherNet/IP industrial protocol with RSLogix5000 profile.
* Remote setup and display from a PC.
* Encoder-based part tracking for variable speed lines.
* Collared lens filters available.
