News
OptoAfrica has signed an agreement with Lantech Communications Global, a manufacturer of industrial network equipment, which makes it the exclusive southern African distributor. The company says the demand for industrial grade network routers and switches is vast and that the ability to ensure uninterrupted connectivity within the harsh conditions in Africa is vital for the flow of business. Lantech Products will now be a standard feature on all new and most of the existing OptoAfrica installations, adding extra ruggedness to complement the sturdy software.
With a long background in IP Ethernet products, Lantech provides feature rich networking solutions backed by high quality service and support. Its core competencies are network software and hardware, which allows seamless delivery of a variety of applications and services in diverse network environments. Systems are integrated using X-Ring, a proprietary auto network recovery protocol, and Lantech-View, a Windows utility for monitoring and configuring multiple switches simultaneously.
Products and solutions are provided for the delivery of universal Ethernet services across a variety of markets, including: power and utilities; oil and gas; building automation; process automation; mining and transport.
