There are some common problems that can affect the accuracy of the sensor used for level monitoring in liquids. These include pressure and temperature variations, the formation of foam and bubbles, vessel vibration from outside sources and product properties such as density and viscosity.

Vega Instruments has introduced its range of Vegaswing tuning fork sensors, specially designed for limit monitoring in liquids. These sensors can be fitted to a container in any orientation, and require no adjustments during commissioning. This not only saves time but also costly product wastage. The Vegaswing vibration level switch also acts as a self-checking overfill protection 'policeman'.

Four different electronics inserts provide trouble-free integration into your existing system. These include a contact-free switch, a double relay output, a transistor output and a two-wire current output. The latter is intrinsically safe for connection to a signal conditioning unit.

Vega Instruments' family of tuning fork sensors are designed for applications in the pharmaceutical industry, the chemical industry, food processing or general applications.
