Lapp Kabel has extended its range of Unitronic field bus products. In addition to passive fieldbus modules for sensor/actuator applications, the company now also supplies active components. The products support all of the established fieldbus systems used worldwide. The extensive range includes modules for AS-Interface, Profibus, CANopen and DeviceNet. Equipped with standardised connection technology and featuring high industrial protection class ratings, the range is suitable for connecting all commonly used sensors and actuators, providing users with the solutions for decentralised automation in mechanical and plant engineering applications.
The Lapp Group can supply AS-Interface devices specially designed for cost effective networking of sensors and actuators in an AS-I network. The devices can be installed quickly and reliably. A locking mechanism makes it possible to connect to the AS-I flat cables without the need for tools. These are simply pressed into the cable routing aid. Contact is established as soon as the locking latch snaps in. The devices are then connected to the AS-I flat cables by means of the penetration technique. Lapp also offers a comprehensive range of cables, T-connectors/Y-Connectors, termination resistors, ready-made connectors, sensor/actuator cables and accessories for the rapid wiring of sensors and actuators in the field.
