The rounded probe allows for easy access for cleaning and means that product will not get trapped. The sensor can operate in any orientation. Commissioning is calibration-free and the electronics can be integrated seamlessly into your application.
The vibration probe of the sensor is excited by piezo-electric elements. If product should cover the probe, it stops vibrating, thus providing overflow and dry running protection. A pulsating signal ensures that the sensor starts to vibrate again after uncovering, without any problem.
Typical applications of the Vegavib sensors are for products such as milk powder, flour, cement, sand, plastic granules and polystyrene. The sensors are also used in sand traps in hydroelectric power stations and for waste gases in desulphurisation plants.
