eWON unveils Talk2M Go
September 2010
Fieldbus & Industrial Networking
eWON’s Talk2M Go provides machine builders and system integrators with an Internet-based remote maintenance platform that provides secure access to remote machines and devices. Combined with eWON’s industrial routers, it facilitates integration with a large variety of PLCs and automated devices. The new version provides a platform with all the security, reliability and traceability required by industrial applications.
Talk2M Go is hosted on a mission-critical Internet provider and covered by a service level agreement (SLA). The system has a guaranteed bandwidth of 500 Kbps, with 1 Mbps burst mode. It enables up to three users to access one or several machines at the same time, with fully detailed monthly connection reports itemised by the machine.
With a pay-per-use pricing model, initial investment and subsequent operating costs are minimised. Single-click upgrade to Talk2M Pro makes Talk2M Go an excellent entry-level platform. Detailed machine connection reporting is available at my.talk2m.com, the Talk2M Go Web portal, while eCatcher Pro, the VPN client, provides an intuitive user interface for accessing multiple eWON devices over the Internet.

Loop signature Part 2-2: Feedforward Control: Part 1
Michael Brown Control Engineering
Fieldbus & Industrial Networking
Feedforward control is a powerful technique that can dramatically improve control variance in cases where load changes cause big deviations from setpoint and the actual process dynamics are too slow to allow the feedback controller to operate fast enough to catch these disturbances.
