The application manager (RMM621) from Endress+Hauser is a versatile single device signal analysis solution in process instrumentation for use across most industry segments. The instruments are easily configured to perform a variety of tasks including data recording, calculation and control.
The application manager can record conventional 4-20 mA analogue signals and also act as a loop power supply for 2-wire transmitters. Intrinsically safe options according to ATEX, FM or CSA are available. The device can store, calculate or logically combine values; up to 18 digital inputs can be mathematically or logically combined. Eight analogue and eight digital outputs together with nineteen relays are offered to allow programmed response to predefined formulae. The display can simultaneously show up to eight measured values or events and automatically scroll different modes to display data as trends, bar graphs or signal curves.
The control functions range from simple on/off to full PID control; ideal for specialised temperature applications. The application manager can be easily integrated into various networks such as Ethernet, RS232/485, ModBus and Profibus DP. ReadWin 2000 software is supplied free of charge.
