Following over 10 years of success, the South African Regional Profibus Association (SARPA) has launched its dynamic new website forum for all new and existing Profibus technology users in southern Africa. The website forum is a unique way to allow users, suppliers, consultants and system integrators to interact on a one to one basis on issues such as new technologies, learning experiences, training, installation and hardware issues, in fact anything about Profibus or related technologies.
To support the significant amount of Profibus installations in industry the Web-based forum has been set up for easy access. Registration is free of charge be it in an individual capacity or as a representative of a company. The forum will also be used to advertise and promote new technology developments, training, seminars and activities pertinent to Profibus users.
Other social media such as facebook, twitter and Linked In are also available to provide fast, interactive and informative information to all members. “We believed a change was needed and an Internet forum with linked social media would provide the ideal platform for Profibus vendors to interact with their market and for Profibus users to get the support they need for new and existing installations,” said SARPA chairman, Rob Mackenzie. “It is the right time, in terms of the Profibus lifecycle in South Africa, to implement this strategy.
“This new forum will allow users across industries to interact and liaise with each other, sharing success stories, problem solutions and other issues they are experiencing with their respective installations, be they good or bad.”
