The continuous expansion of the entertainment industry in recent years has increased the demand for innovative gaming and casino gambling equipment, resulting in an increased demand for higher wattage power supply units to drive them. In response, MEAN WELL has introduced two new 300 W AC/DC video game power supplies – MWP-610 and MWP-610P – to meet the requirement. Equipped with triple outputs of 5, 12 and 24 V, both units can supply the different peripheral devices in gaming machines, such as motherboard, monitor, system fan, winning indicator, coin counter and lottery printer.
Incorporating built-in passive PFC function, MWP-610P is 230 VAC input only with CE compliance for the European market. While MWP-610 is without PFC function and CE mark, it is equipped with selectable 115/230 VAC inputs to provide users the flexibility of different utility voltages in different countries. Saving the cost of PFC, MWP-610 provides a more economical option for areas where built-in PFC functionality is not required.
Designed using high frequency switching technology with long life DC fan, the supplies can operate in ambient temperatures from -10 to 50°C. Other standard functions include short circuit, over voltage, overload and over temperature protections, and an ON/OFF power switch. These two models have a high wattage rating to satisfy the requirements in all kinds of gaming or casino gambling machines, both in functionality and economy of price.
Solar energy reimagined
Electrical Power & Protection
As the global energy sector races to meet net-zero commitments, utility-scale solar is undergoing a fundamental transformation. No longer defined by megawatt capacity alone, solar projects are now being evaluated on their ability to deliver dispatchable power, enhance grid stability, and provide critical ancillary services.
