Leuze extends the offering

August 2010 Sensors & Transducers

Leuze electronic has extended its product line-up to include a range of optical and inductive switches. This latest addition to the range makes the company a full service provider allowing customers to obtain all these sensing needs from a single source. Gerry Bryant, managing director of Countapulse Controls says, “It is now even easier to select the most appropriate sensing or monitoring solution for a given application from this full-service provider in automation technology. Our customers will benefit from this extended portfolio of products which is perfectly matched to one another. Add to this the experience and application knowledge of our people and the result is competent advice that further simplifies the ordering process.”

Leuze electronic has expended a considerable amount of research and development in the technology resulting in high quality reliable sensors and switches. For decades, Leuze electronic has supplied innovative and practical sensor solutions in various sectors of industry and process automation. Optical and inductive sensors and switches are used in all areas for example in materials handling and warehousing applications, in process and packaging plants as well as in printing and analysis technologies.

In the compact version, Leuze sensors can easily be integrated in assembly, handling or robotic applications. To meet demands for large operating ranges, such as those encountered in materials handling, conveyor and warehouse technology, models are offered with switching distances of up to 40 mm. The new range of Leuze optical and inductive switches is robust in construction, resistant to cleaning agents, feature protection to Class IP69K and carry ECOLAB certification. All these criteria more than satisfy the requirements for food processing, filling, packaging and the pharmaceutical industry.
