Thanks to ongoing research and development, measuring instruments from VEGA can be relied on to accurately deliver volume, level and pressure data from many different media including fine to the rough bulk solids and adherent or abrasive slurries.
However, every measuring technique reaches its limits at some point. Extreme temperatures, high pressure in the container, aggressive media or problematic physical features complicate precise measurement of level, limit level and interface. VEGA’s new, radiation-based instrument series ProTrac has been designed with this in mind to deliver exact and reliable results with the help of gamma rays even in the most difficult measuring situations.
A low activity source – safely embedded in a source holder – emits radiation in the direction of the product to be measured. The radiation penetrates through the container wall as well as the measured product, gets damped in the process and is received by a detector. Measurement is external to the process and therefore maintenance-free.
With ProTrac, VEGA has extended its existing range of instruments to include radiation based measurement to solve any measurement task safely and reliably.
