Endress+Hauser has released the new DIN rail slim line transmitters, TMT111 and TMT112. The transmitters come with both analogue output (TMT111) and Hart (TMT112) protocol. Universal temperature inputs for resistance thermometers (RTD), thermocouples, resistance and voltage can be programmed by PC using free Readwin software.
The transmitters are designed for space saving in panels and enclosures. (The physical width of the transmitter is 12,7 mm.) This translates into cost savings since smaller enclosures can be used, particularly where a large number of transmitters are required.
The transmitters conform to accreditations and specifications as follows:
* Fault signal on sensor break or short circuit.
* Pre-settable to NAMUR NE 43.
* UL recognised component to UL 3111-1.
* CSA general purpose.
* Meets EMC requirements as per NAMUR NE21.
* Ex-Certification – ATEX Ex ia, CSA IS and FM IS.
* Galvanic isolation 2 kV (input/ output).
The TMT111 and TMT112 are used in the process industry for both safe and hazardous applications. The slim line transmitters are ideally suited to the power industry where space saving and reducing stock is a premium.
