Protection for antenna systems

Electrical Power & Protection
DEHN’s DEHNgate family of lightning current surge arresters feature a cable adapter design and protect cell sites and antenna systems from potential damage. Depending on the application, different mechanical and electrical types are available.
Included in the range are application-specific designs to protect wireless LAN and wireless local loop applications in BNC, N or 1,5/5,6 connections for bulkhead mounting. Devices are available with integrated fine protection for G.703 interfaces.
DEHNgate DGA TV models have a frequency range for analogue and digital TV and are suitable for reverse LAN channels. Three types are available for use in the different LPZ boundaries. They are easily installed into all common TV and satellite installations. Lightning current arresters, surge arresters and combined types are available.
DEHNgate FF TV has an integrated measuring output for antenna signals allowing the system to be easily tested. It can be mounted onto a DIN rail to protect satellite systems with several outputs, typically used in communal aerial systems. For single applications such as cable TV, the device can be simply snapped into a wall-mounted adaptor. With a frequency range of up to 3 GHz, DEHNgate FF TV is suitable for reverse LAN channels, and is designed for use in the LPZ concept at boundaries 0-1 and higher. The device is suitable for remote supply for 75 satellites and TV cable systems. It has a 1,5 kA (8/20) nominal discharge current and meets IEC 61643-21 test standards.
