GEMÜ Africa, the South African arm of German-based GEMÜ Valves, has announced the establishment of three regional distributors in KwaZulu-Natal, Port Elizabeth and East London.
GEMÜ Africa’s branch manager Keith Hedges said, “I am pleased to announce that GEMÜ has appointed Instruments 4 You in Port Elizabeth, Ekim Sales in East London and Tovani Trading in KwaZulu-Natal as authorised distributors in South Africa. This network will ensure that our customers have efficient access to our products and technologies around South Africa, and will enable the company to expand its reach into regional specific industries such as pharmaceutical, automotive, pulp and paper and chemical. I believe that areas such as the Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal offer many opportunities to us that will be better serviced through these local distributors.”
GEMÜ specialises in supplying engineered control solutions across numerous sectors such as: automotive; water/waste water; chemical and petrochemical; mining and metal extraction; power stations; shipbuilding; paper; pharmaceutical; food and beverage and semiconductor industries. The company offers a wide range of valve products for use in plant and process control systems. Many are fieldbus capable: AS-interface, Profibus DP, DeviceNet, ControlNet. It also offers an AS-interface controller – the GEMÜ 4112 – which enables a direct connection to Profibus DP/ControlNet. This is complemented by a range of measurement systems for volumetric flow, level, pressure and temperature.
