“Honeywell has great positions in good industries and our technologies are helping to solve some of the world’s toughest challenges, including safety, security, and energy efficiency,” said Cote. “South Africa is an important and rapidly growing market for Honeywell. Over the past five years, Honeywell has more than doubled its sales from approximately $70 million to $150 million, and now has more than 350 employees in South Africa. We have increased our presence in key markets such as oil and gas, hydrocarbon processing, refining design, chemicals, power generation, metals, minerals and mining, and pulp and paper.”

“Honeywell has grown in South Africa by focusing on the customer,” explained Sean Smith, regional general manager, Honeywell Process Solutions South Africa. “Our skilled workforce and experience in globally important industries such as energy, refining, and process controls will help differentiate Honeywell in South Africa and positions us for continued growth over the long-term.”

Honeywell is fully compliant with South Africa’s Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment initiative, attaining Level 4 status.
