Switch on with Elquip

News
Elquip Solutions has announced that it will be distributing UK-based Flexicon’s easy fit time delay switches in South Africa. “These switches are used in simple lighting and power control applications,” says Elquip CEO Mike Cronin.
Elquip is the sole South African distributor of Flexicon’s products, which also include low fire hazard products. The time delay switch range consisting of a pneumatic, and three electronic timers: the Eco timer, the Premier timer and an IP66 weatherproof version.
All electronic versions have an adjustable time setting using a thumbwheel, and an LED light for easy location in the dark. The range will switch incandescent, fluorescent and compact fluorescent lamps or other loads. The indoor timers have a shallow profile, and fit into a 16 mm or standard BS single gang accessory box. The weatherproof timer has knockouts on every face and can be used with Flexicon’s conduit system.
The pneumatic time delay switch can be adjusted to between 10 seconds and 10 minutes; the Eco timer to between 5 seconds and 20 minutes and the Premier and weatherproof timers to between 5 seconds and 2 hours. These products provide a simple and cost effective means of reducing consumption, and are ideal for staircases, hallways and corridors where lighting may otherwise be left on.
