Certified Industrial Ethernet switches

April 2010 Fieldbus & Industrial Networking

Moxa’s EDS-616/619, EDS-G509, EDS-408A and EDS-205A/208A Industrial Ethernet switches have received EN50121-4 certification for emission and immunity compliance in railway applications. The EN50121-4 Railway Signalling and Communication Standard identifies products that can operate despite the extreme surge and emissions hazards of railway environments.

Moxa’s Industrial Ethernet switches are reliable, long-life network devices that can provide media redundancy and continuous redundant power inputs for mission-critical industrial applications such as rail wayside signalling and power systems. The innovative Turbo Chain redundant technology (recovery time <20 ms) enables efficient and flexible network construction and substantially reduces the cabling cost of wayside signal systems. The -40 to 75°C operating temperature range and vibration and shock resistance ensure reliable and safe operation. Fibre models for long distance connections and compact small form factor designs make Moxa’s Industrial Ethernet switches well-suited for wayside control subsystems that often cover many miles and are deployed in control cabinets with little free space.
