The latest sensors from Leuze provide the electronics to accomplish this in one of the smallest packages available for the application today.
The Leuze KRT 3B, KRT 53 and KRT 55 sensors are housed in the compact ‘3 series’ housing, measuring only 32 by 11 mm these small sensors provide mark detection with reliability.
The high performance capability with short response times of 50 μs and high repeatability has been combined with extensive configuration options including I/O link to enable simple and reproducible onsite configuration.
The contrast scanners distinguish between grey-scale values to detect minimal contrasts and thus check for the presence of text, imprints, splices or location marks. RGB light, white light and laser light versions are all available adding to the versatility of the range. In addition, the sensors can be housed in a larger stainless steel housing for wash-down and hygienic applications.
Three teach options are available to suit most machines and applications. The switching thresholds set via teach-in can be changed during operation via ‘EasyTune’. This online switching-threshold correction provides quick response to changing process parameters without the need to perform a new teach-in.
