Sensor gives precise height

Wenglor’s new CP25 digital diffuse laser light sensors switch at a height difference of 0,2 mm. Even where detection of extremely dark or glossy parts or edges, or the display of fill-levels and stack heights is required, the sensor performs reliably.
The two independent switching outputs can be adjusted individually over the entire measuring range of 20 cm: allowing, for example, the precise height of a stack of paper on a conveyor belt to be determined. The sensor detects whether the stack height is between or exceeds the first and second switching thresholds. The output can be activated when the height of the paper stack is correct, and deactivated if the stack has two or three sheets too many or too few. Due to the innovative technology in Wenglor’s design, including digital signal processor, switching point differences resulting from shape, colour or surface characteristics of the object are almost entirely eliminated as well.
The working range is 40 to 240 mm and 1600 measurements per second are possible with a switching frequency of 800 Hz.
