Stainless steel inductive sensors
October 2009
Sensors & Transducers
ifm electronic has introduced a new line of sensors and cord-sets designed for food and beverage applications. The new 316 stainless steel, metal face sensor line is designed and tested to provide reliable position indication in harsh applications at an affordable price.
Designed for operation at temperatures from 0 to 100°C, the sensor has been tested in extreme environments. The housing is chemically-compatible with industrial cleaning solutions and will not corrode. Its zero-leak design, rated IP69K, prevents ingress during high-pressure cleaning and steam cleaning.
The stainless steel sensors feature a 360° ring LED design for status indication and laser-etched part numbers and are available in standard housing styles that include M12, M18, and M30 tubular housings.
For power connection, ifm offers a family of M12 Micro DC cordsets specifically designed for food and beverage applications that feature PVC cable material rated for high temperatures, stainless steel coupling nuts and gold contacts. Cable lengths are available in 5, 10 and 25 m.
