The T42 Profibus-PA digital temperature transmitter provides an effective link to process control technology. Low measurement deviation, universally adjustable measuring ranges, galvanic separation and an above-average immunity to electromagnetic interference are all functions that are performed by this device, one of the smallest instruments of its kind. This transmitter, together with the open Profibus-PA protocol, provides a solution that can be optimised for the most effective operation in the user's plant.

Universal programming

Under SIMATIC PDM the user can choose from 16 input signals at temperatures ranging from -200 to +2300°C.

Capabilities include:

p Maximum measurement deviation of 0,08°C.

p EMI immunity in accordance with NAMUR NE 21.

p Ambient temperature range:

 standard: -40C...+85°C.

 extended:-50...+85°C.

p Humidity: 100% relative, moisture condensation permissible.

Installation is made easy by the user-friendly design, with terminal screws that grip the wires firmly. The product has EX-approval for ATEX100a for EExia / EExib.
