For applications in restricted space, Baumer offers a diverse range of miniature sensors for precise solutions.

The small IWRM 04 distance-measuring inductive sensors, with a diameter of 4 mm and a housing length of only 30 mm, are compact inductive analogue sensors with a short response time of 0,5 ms and a high resolution of 1 μm.

The FHDK 04 optical miniature sensor provides very high efficiency background suppression. The Baumer developers were able to accommodate this sensor in housing measuring only 4 x 6 x 45 mm. With a bracket for profiles and only one groove plate, this sensor can be secured in any commercial extrusion flame. Several sensors may be operated side by side without any mutual optical interference. In addition, the IO-Link communications standard is supported.

Ultrasonic sensors of the SONUS Series, with a switching or analog output and weighing less than 4 grams, are optimally suited for installation in all light, fast moving handling units. The sensing distance of these sugar-cubed-sized units is 200 mm. Ultrasonic technology allows objects to be sensed regardless of their colour or transparency.
