The new alliance offers enhanced pipeline performance and safety of pipeline operations.
Schneider Electric and Krohne unveiled a new and innovative pipeline management solution at Gastech 2009 in Abu Dhabi. The combined product and services solution helps to enhance pipeline performance and safety through pipeline simulation, pipeline leakage detection, energy management, integral security, advanced process automation and a complete pipeline instrumentation package.
The combined solution consists of a collaborative, open and scalable architecture platform. Realtime monitoring and automation is achieved through Schneider Electric’s scada system while safety is handled with Schneider PLCs and RTUs. Krohne will provide pipeline instrumentation including highly accurate custody transfer flow measurement products together with its pipeline leakage detection system.
“This partnership is a great opportunity for our customers who require solutions for pipeline process optimisation and enhanced pipeline integrity. With the recognised expertise of Schneider Electric in energy management and security, Krohne will add its know-how in model-based leak detection combined with its best-in-class flowmeters,” comments Stephan Neuburger, MD Krohne.
Stephan Neuburger, MD Krohne, together with Michel Crochon, VP customer & market Schneider Electric
“As a leading solutions provider for the oil and gas industry, this partnership is the answer to the midstream process to build efficient and tested solutions,” adds Patrick Albos, VP oil and gas solutions, Schneider Electric.
This combined solution includes both leaders’ track record project execution capabilities and local services.
