The DPT-10 differential pressure transmitter was recently presented by WIKA at ACHEMA 2009. Available in the fourth quarter of 2009, the device offers simple operation for a wide range of applications encompassing differential pressure, level and flow measurements.
The device is available in a single or a double chamber case design. This allows for the fitting of an optional display and control module (on the top or on the side, depending upon the installation conditions). Cases are available in a choice of plastic, aluminium or electropolished or cast stainless steel. For explosion protection there are intrinsically safe or flameproof case variants available.
The transmitter is available with all the usual process instrumentation output signals: 4 to 20 mA, 4 to 20 mA HART, Profibus PA and Foundation Fieldbus. It is designed for direct connection to the process, though it can also be fitted with diaphragm seals from the WIKA diaphragm seal range. Typical applications that could benefit from its use include pump and filter monitoring, level and flow in the chemical, energy and food and beverage industries.
