The Senix ToughSonic TS-30S1 non-contact ultrasonic sensors for distance measurement contain a rugged transducer in a stainless steel case to provide long service life in harsh environments.
Typical applications include roll diameter, liquid level, motion control, positioning and dimensioning. The sensors are excellent in tanks, drums and level applications.
Two outputs are available in many combinations, including analogue 0-10/0-5 VDC, 4-20 ma current loop, PNP/NPN (sourcing/sinking) switches and RS232/485 serial ports. All outputs are relative to measured distance, at any angle and anywhere in the sensor’s range. The unit is sealed to ingress protection rating IP68 for wash-down or outdoor use in applications such as food processing or car washes.
A narrow beam pattern enables a long measuring range (150-4 250 mm) in confined spaces (the sensors are unaffected by optical factors such as colour or transparency) and calibration is on actual target. Other features include: simple pushbutton set-up, software filtering and multisensor synchronisation.
The sensors are housed in a heavy-duty 30 mm threaded stainless steel case, designed for installation via quick bolt-in.
