MEAN WELL has launched a new economical PCB type switching power supply, PSC-60 series, for the fast growing security industry. Similar to the AD-55 and AD-155 series, the main output channel is complemented by an additional charger output with smaller power rating to fulfil the special requirement of security, monitoring, or battery backup related applications. Compared to the AD-55, PSC-60 has 5-times the charging capacity, which significantly reduces system charging time. Additional TTL alarm signals and miniature design make the units well suited for low cost cabinet assembled applications.
Based on the latest high performance switching technology, the efficiency of PSC-60 has been improved by 10% allowing it to operate in 70°C ambient environments using only free convection cooling. The series possess alarms including AC OK and battery low, if the mains supply fails and the system goes into battery backup mode, a TTL signal will be sent to warn the user.
Other TTL signals warn of battery low conditions, below 11 V for a 12 V bank and below 22 V for a 24 V bank. Battery backup is disconnected should the voltages fall below 10,5 V and 21 V respectively to avoid over discharge.
With global safety certification per UL, CUL, TUV, CE and CB, PSC-60 offers a good power choice for new designs of security systems, emergency lighting, UPS monitoring and automatic doors.
Additional features include:
* 90-264 V a.c. universal input range.
* Battery side protection: polarity (by fuse), battery low cut-out.
* Short circuit, overload and over voltage protection.
* 100% full load burn-in test.
* Low cost, high reliability.
* 2 years warranty.
