VEGA has released a capacitive level switch that comes with a compensation key which allows the probe to return to its original sensitivity after shortening.
Part of the Vegacap range, this level switch is particularly appropriate for applications where the instrument is mounted into a vessel and the vessel and mounting conditions might cause a non-predictable standing capacitance. In narrow vessels, or difficult mounting conditions, this standing capacitance can considerably reduce the sensitivity of the probe.
Although the probe, or electrode, is unaffected by build-up of product, some mounting situations may cause the instrument to lose sensitivity across the full measuring range.
Using the compensation key, which is fitted ex-factory, it just requires a button push to restore the switch to its full sensitivity and reliability.
