Regulated DC/DC converters

Mean Well has announced the introduction of 2 and 3 W miniature regulated single output DC/DC converters – SPA02/SPB03 series – for the growing demands of miniature applications. With single-in-line packaging, these converters are packaged in identical plastic cases, which are less than 1/3 the volume of the existing SCW03 range. Despite their small size, SPA02 and SPB03 can operate at full load in ambient temperatures up to 70°, and can provide 50% output at 85°.

Standard features include:

* 2:1 wide input range (optional 4:1 input range).

* 1000 V d.c. isolation (optional 3000 V d.c.).

* Single-in-line packaging.

* Built-in remote on/off control.

* Free air convection cooling.

* Short circuit and overload protection.

* Low cost, high reliability.

* CE and FCC approvals.

* 2-year warranty.

Suitable applications include industrial control, telecom/datacom and distributed power architecture related installations.
