Comtest has introduced four new JDSU Network and Enterprise test tools specifically designed for technicians who install, manage and maintain premises, enterprises and broadband access networks. These single task test instruments alert technicians when the network is ready to support the broad set of advanced communications, entertainment and commercial applications frequently used by most consumers and businesses.
The Validator and Validator-NT Ethernet system speed certifiers offer a complete solution to certify and test the speeds of Ethernet network cables up to 1 Gbps. The tests include NEXT; SNR (signal to noise ratio), TIA 568/570; IEEE 802.3 and TDR (time domain reflectometers). The instruments are designed to detect faults in the cabling and ensure that the transmission requirements of active equipment are supported.
JDSU’s LanRoamerPRO Cable Tester TP600 is a length measurement tool, cable tester and tone generator in one unit. The LCD, four momentary buttons, single end testing capability, and other features make it an easy-to-use tool for residential, data communications, telecommunications and contract cable installers.
The IVT 600 Tri-Porter premises wiring tester for voice, data and video enables a full range of premises cabling tests within a single tool. It provides full diagnostic capability for network, telephone and video systems with wiring qualifications and fault diagnosis, cable tracing, location identification and presence of service detection.
JDSU’s Lil’ Buttie Ranger built-in telephone is an advanced, DSL-safe telephone test set used by cable installers and repair technicians.
