Compact proximity sensors

ifm electronic’s rectangular inductive proximity sensors are designed for use in conveying applications, machine tools and factory automation. Only 40 x 40 mm in size, the sensors are easily mounted and feature corner LEDs that are clearly visible in any position.

With long sensing ranges of up to 40 mm, these sensors are available in three-wire or four-wire technology. They have an integrated clamp, meet IP67 requirements and operate in a –25 to 70°C temperature range.

The sensing face can be fixed in five different orientations via an adjusting screw, allowing optimal sensor adaptation to suit the application. Two visible corner LEDs enable the switching and operating status to be seen even under adverse installation conditions.

Good electro-magnetic field immunity and Teflon coated housings ensure the units are suited to harsh operating environments such as those involving welding.
