US-based LeCroy Corporation, a leading provider of oscilloscopes, protocol analysers and related test and measurement solutions, has appointed Comtest as its sole distributor in southern Africa.
Francesco Raimondi, the distribution sales manager for Europe, the Middle East and African markets, expressed his confidence that Comtest was the right partner to develop the LeCroy brand in Africa. “Comtest has the right mix of technical expertise, service capability and experience to develop the market and, together with its large installed dealer base throughout southern and South Africa, to establish LeCroy as a leading contender in the test and measurement field.”

Peter Verwer, MD of Comtest, says LeCroy’s equipment is of a very high quality at market-related prices. “It fits very well into the mix of products that we offer and also into our company’s objective to offer the market a complete range of high quality electrical and electronic test and measurement products.
“We are keen to promote LeCroy’s products and the combination of Comtest’s Ravi Lachman, a specialist in the field heading up the team, together with our active and successful dealer base leaves us confident that the LeCroy products will do well in the region.”
Raimondi and Lachman held product launches and training countrywide and also demonstrated LeCroy equipment to several Comtest customers.
