Transmit time sensor

Sensors & Transducers
The Wenglor OY2TA transit time sensor from ASSTech closes the gap between simple reflex sensors with background suppression and a small working range, and high-end transit time sensors which are capable of monitoring ranges of up to a hundred metres.
The sensor detects objects made of metal, plastic, wood and cardboard at distances of 0 to 4 metres. The device also generates a reliable shelf-full message for boxes and pallets of a great variety of colours and various ages. The sensor is suited for position detection for factory conveyor vehicles and electrical overhead conveyors as well. It can be quickly and easily aligned to its object due to the visible laser light spot. For applications in the woodworking industry, the sensor features fast and accurate detection of edges, even with frayed fibres and at high speeds. This is made possible by an extremely high switching frequency and a small laser light spot.
Product features include:
* 1 kHz switching frequency for high speed applications.
* Simple sensor set-up via a pushbutton.
* Quick alignment using the visible laser spot.
* Insensitivity to extraneous light up to 10 000 lux.
* Durability to IP68 standard with a scratchproof optical cover.
