The PHE III voltage detectors from DEHN are available with a 44 to 132 kV, 50 Hz nominal voltage rating, suitable for testing switchgear installations and overhead lines. They are designed for indoor and outdoor use, including wet weather conditions. When the devices are activated, the internal circuitry is automatically tested for correct operation. Two options are available:

* Category S with a long test probe for both switchgear installations and overhead lines.

* Category L with a short test probe for overhead lines only.

Power is supplied from a 9 V battery, which is easily replaced by hand. Acoustic and visual signals are provided to indicate battery status and system readiness. The units are easily transportable due to the detachable probe, and a range of accessories is available.
