Eltra has introduced the EL63D square flange incremental encoder, a general-purpose rotary motion encoder designed for simple speed, direction and position monitoring.
Designed with an industry standard 63,5 mm flange and shaft diameters of 6 or 10 mm, this Eltra encoder can be easily installed into a wide range of low to high resolution industrial rotary motion applications.
Offering high performance at an affordable price, the EL63D encoder is capable of handling rotational speeds as high as 6000 rev/min. The unit can deliver up to 10 000 pulses per revolution output as a standard quadrature signal for easy integration into existing control systems. The two robust bearings, high quality components, and rugged housing used on the EL63D ensure reliability. Output signals include channels A, B, Z and their inverses.
Available with IP66 protection, the devices are typically used in conveying, cut-to-length and web tensioning applications, where exact position data is not critical.
