The RTC module 750-640 provides the higher-level control system with the actual time and is compatible with all Wago 750/753 series fieldbus nodes. The time is buffered and continues to run for up to six hours in the event of a power failure. When an external antenna is connected, the clock can be set using the time signal from DCF77 (European summer time), MSF (for the United Kingdom) as well as WWVB (for North America). By default the module is set to receive DCF77 signals. The antenna can be supplied directly via the module, connecting an external antenna to operate the module is not always necessary.
The 32 channel module is equipped with a scheduler that makes it easier for the control unit to process and synchronise timing activity. Channel power-on time is recorded and optional functional blocks are available to expedite system programming.
