In a bid to supplement its current range of ICT solutions, DirectLogic Automation has secured a distribution agreement with Protech Systems. Established in 1980, Protech Systems specialises in the design and manufacturing of industrial PCs, automation products and embedded computers for companies around the world. Product lines include single board computers, book-size PCs, POS (point of sale), panel PCs and industrial servers.
The Protech range puts the emphasis on rugged construction and low power consumption. Fanless design ensures quiet operation from power supplies as low as 80 W, and the toughened industrial grade construction has been augmented with anti-shock and vibration damping for application in harsh environments. The products carry an IP65 rating and are fully RoHS compliant to meet world environmental standards.
“DirectLogic Automation has developed a widespread client base in South Africa and in our neighbouring countries, including Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Tanzania,” says Winston Ilsley, managing member, DirectLogic Automation. “Our current clientele includes every major market sector, with particular focus on the mining and manufacturing sectors.
