The eWON 2xxx series is the intelligent remote access solution for PLCs, standalone equipment and other devices, with many embedded features, advanced services and tools. This programmable industrial router adds remote access capabilities to automated applications and provides event notification. The device finds application in remote maintenance and offers accurate diagnostics and first-hand information.

This transparent and configurable Serial to Ethernet Gateway supports many protocol conversions allowing it to interface with PLC-based automation systems. It is easy to implement and configure, offering user-friendly web pages for its configuration. Compliance with industrial standards ensures secure operation with the restricted access features required in open networks.

Features include a TCP/IP router, embedded firewall, remote access, basic scripting, VPN connectivity, reporting tools and alarm notification via SMS and e-mail.

Modbus protocol is supported on an RS485 interface and on the TCP/IP network allowing a wide range of external devices to be addressed. The device also supports UniTelWay-XIP, DF1-EIP and MPI protocols.
