Spark gap isolation

DEHN's EXFS range of isolating spark gaps is designed for installation on conductive system parts in explosive areas, where direct earth connection is not possible. The ATEX-certified devices meet IEC 62305 requirements for lightning and equi-potential bonding in hazardous areas.

The explosion-proof EXFS L 50 kA and 100 kA models are designed specifically for bonding in dangerous environments and are used in cathodic protection. Available with a flexible cable to suit 20-320 mm flanges, the devices are installed at insulating flanges or joints.

The type EXFS KU is designed for earth connection in systems to protect against the effects of a lightning strike. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use the units are enclosed in a damp-proof PVC housing and are ideal for installation at insulating couplings.
