The model 2400 vibration transmitter is a South African designed and manufactured product, which has been designed to offer an economical alternative to several imported products.
The model 2400 is available with either Hirschmann connector or moulded cable connection
The primary sensing element is an internally mounted accelerometer, the output of which is integrated, filtered, and rectified to give a 4-20 mA signal proportional to vibration velocity. The accelerometer is isolated to eliminate ground loop problems. Frequency bandwidth is 10-1000 Hz.
The housing is of 303 stainless steel and electrical connection is made either via a Hirschmann connector having an IP65 rating or via a moulded cable. Mounting is by a single male stud and standard thread sizes include M8, M12, and 1/4" NPT. Other thread sizes and adapters are available to special order.
The sensor is designed for vibration measurement in industrial machinery such as blowers, pumps, fans and compressors. Used in conjunction with a range of peripherals, alarm and trip functions can be incorporated to provide cost effective machine protection solutions.
