Batching processes are increasingly required to meet high standards of safety, regulated accountability and traceability through all stages of the production process. Production processes require adherence to standards such as GAMP (good automated manufacturing practice).
Sartorius has designed the MIX-X5 controller as a tool to aid compliance with the legislation and standards applicable in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries - particularly tasks associated with the batching process.
These include raw material tracking, user access administration, label printing and generation of reports - manual selection of job orders and recipe lines is also possible. An integrated recalculation function is included for detecting batching errors. The MIX-X5 is a standalone unit incorporating two weighing platforms for manual batching.
Data is transferrable to a master processing system where weighing reports can be stored in a Microsoft Access database for further processing, using the custom tools provided.
The system can also be configured for wireless LAN operation.
