A redesigned mission-critical MIC-3321 Series of directly soldered CPU CompactPCI cards is now being offered by Advantech. These single and double layer 3U cPCI CPU cards are engineered for performance and reliability in critical applications. There are a variety of models to choose from depending on user needs. The basic features of all models include an RS232 port, two USB ports, two LAN ports, and a VGA port. For applications where space is at a premium, the MIC-3321 can be ordered as a single layered design. There is also support for CPUs ranging from the high performance Pentium M2,0 GHz to a Celeron M 800 MHz CPU.

The design features directly soldered CPU and memory, providing a lighter installation that offers higher shock and vibration resistance than traditional socket devices.

There are three different CPU grades, from the high performance MIC-3321 with Pentium M2,0 GHz 512 DDR2 SDRAM to the MIC-3321C and MIC-3321L series with Celeron M1,0 GHz/800 MHz CPUs with 512/256 DDR2 SDRAM, which has the added benefit of a wider temperature range (-25 to +70°C).
