Hansford Sensors has launched a new range of ATEX and IEC Ex certified intrinsically safe vibration sensors to extend its existing HS-100 series. The sensors are suitable for use in environments where inflammable gases, fumes, powders, chemicals or dust are present. The new stainless steel sensors are sealed to a minimum of IP67 and can be used in both Group I (mining) and Group II (petrochemical applications).
The sensors allow engineers to monitor vibration levels of fans, pumps motors, compressors, drilling rigs and conveyors, as well as all types of rotating machinery that are operated in potentially explosive operating conditions.
Available in both top and side entry, the sensors have either an integral cable or a connector. Connector options include an M12 version, which is now widely used in industry. Waterproof options are available for submerged use up to 100 metres.
