The new pyrometers IS 50-LO plus and IGA 50-LO plus are digital pyrometers with fibre-optics for non-contact temperature measurement on materials such as metals, ceramics, and graphite in the temperature range of 250 to 3500°C.
Neither the optic fibre nor the replaceable optical head are affected by electromagnetic interference, such as that caused by induction, and they can be used in high ambient temperatures of up to 250°C without requiring external cooling. Two different types of optical heads for various measuring distances and very small spot sizes are available. A laser targeting light enables exact alignment onto the object to be measured. The short response time of below 1 ms facilitates the measurement of fast heating processes.
The pyrometer is equipped with a display which shows the current temperature in measuring mode. Additionally, all parameters can be read if they are selected via the integrated keys on the instrument. The temperature can be displayed and stored on a PC via serial interface and the provided InfraWin software. Parameters are set in a similar way.
The IS 50/67-LO plus is a special version of this pyrometer family which measures an extremely short wavelength for temperature measurement of metals with a high emissivity.
