The Endress+Hauser Soliphant T FTM20/21 is a reliable and robust single rod vibration limit switch. The tilted piezo drive safeguards the sensor's performance. The design decouples the process connection from the oscillating movement. This makes the sensor insensitive to external vibration and secures reliable measurement results. Since the drive is not in contact with the medium, it is less sensitive to lateral loads and temperature fluctuations. This sensor is a price-effective sensor for level limit detection in bulk solids up to a grain size of 25 mm. It is available as the FTM20 in compact design and as the FTM21 with tube extension. The measuring range is between 225 mm and 1500 mm and the permissible process temperature is up to 150°C.

The main applications for the Soliphant T sensor are in the primary industries and particularly those involving powdery to coarse-grained bulk solids of all kinds starting with a density of 200 g/l. The sensor provides accurate measurement results even in lumpy or moist media since bridging is not an issue for the single rod probe.

The sensor requires no calibration and is easy to commission and maintenance-free in operation. Since there are no mechanically moving parts the device offers a long operating life. The sensor is made from 316L stainless steel and resists abrasion from even building materials.

The switches are available with explosion protection ATEX II 1/3 D, FM or CSA approval.
