A key characteristic of WIKA's new DIH50 series digital indicators is that they constantly monitor the current signal and, if the measuring range of an attached HART transmitter is altered, they rescale automatically to the new measuring range and its unit.
It is, however, also possible to select alternative display units from the standard 'on-board' pressure and temperature units. The display range is then scaled automatically by the appropriate stored conversion factor.
The DIH50 digital indicator is designed as an intrinsically safe loop display for 4-20 mA current loops, and therefore needs no separate auxiliary power supply.
The indicators are available both as basic units, for installation in the housings of WIKA thermometers with 'flameproof enclosure', and also with aluminium field housings and wall-mounted plastic enclosures.
Due to their various approvals the devices can be used, not only in intrinsically safe measurement loops, but also in equipment with 'flameproof enclosure' explosion protection.
