The precision pressure switch, PINTER, type Manocomb can now also be supplied with an integral independent pressure transmitter. This results in a unit with the well known accuracy for switching, a unit with actual value indication and a unit giving a 4-20 mA output signal.
The pressure switch unit retains its unique characteristic in that the set-point scale, which is calibrated in the required engineering units, is accurate to within 1%. Adjustment of the set-point is by a thumb wheel without any additional calibration equipment. A change in set-point can be performed while the pressure switch is in operation ie, on line. The adjusted set point is visible through the sturdy transparent macrolon cover. The Manocomb makes the calibration and set-up of a pressure switch with a dead weight tester a thing of the past.
On the TM unit one set-point allows for high or low switch point settings. The repeatability of switching is 0,03% or better. Optionally the instrument may be supplied with an actual value indicator. This would save the cost of purchasing and installing an additional pressure gauge. The transmitter is loop powered by a 14-28 V d.c. supply.
The Manocomb is wall-mounted, robust and has an environmental protection rating of IP 65. The important aspect of keeping production targets up and running costs down, is addressed by the long term saving on set-up time, no down time and no recalibration costs. Mecosa is the sole representative for PINTER in South Africa.
