Fieldbus & Industrial Networking
Advantech's ADAM-5000 series, a compact distributed data acquisition and control system, supports the move towards fieldbus-based systems. The series now offers two different DA&C systems that allow field I/O devices to easily connect to PC network applications.
With the ADAM-5000/TCP as the Ethernet I/O data processing centre, the user can monitor and control field signals at a speed of 10/100 Mbps.
The ADAM-5000/485 data acquisition and control system can acquire, monitor and control data through multichannel I/O modules. It communicates with a network master over a twisted pair, multidrop, RS485 network. Both ADAM ASCII and Modbus/RTU protocols are supported.
Included in the ADAM-5510 series are modules featuring Intel x86-based CPUs running Datalight ROM-DOS. Users can develop an application program using Borland C 3.0 and then download it by the Windows-based ADAM-5510 series utility. Ethernet enabled modules feature FTP server, web server, TCP/UDP connections and e-mail alarm.
The ADAM-5510KW PC-based SoftLogic controllers are designed for PLC users who are familiar with PLC programming languages such as Ladder Diagram. The stable KW ProConOS built-in runtime engine and KW MULTIPROG programming tool make the ADAM-5510KW an ideal choice for PC-based SoftLogic controllers.
