Turck offers a fieldbus solution for the explosion-hazard range with the FISCO power supply, The FISCO power supply is a power conditioner with intrinsically-safe power output and repeater function. Two versions are available which differ only in terms of the output values: The RPC49-10120Ex provides up to 120 mA, the RPC49-10265Ex up to 265 mA. The installation location can be in zone 2 when an appropriate IP54 housing is used.
The circuits are approved for EEx ib IIB or EEx ib IIC, depending on type: The repeater function allows up to four FISCO power supplies to be connected in parallel to increase the number of field units per logical segment. The device features four LEDs to indicate the supply voltage, short-circuits as well as communication with the field and host.
